About

Beth Jakub, Prinicipal Consultant

Beth Jakub’s career has been diverse, giving her the opportunity to work with clients and teams from nonprofits big and small (e.g., International Monetary Fund, LifeBridge Health, American Council on Education), universities (University of Michigan, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), the federal government (Department of Defense, Federal Aviation Administration), unions (UAW-GM) and the corporate setting (Ford Motor Company). All those experiences helped shape her view today, more than 25 years later, that helping people discover their own natural strengths and abilities, and those of their teammates, is the most effective way to make people’s work lives better.

We spend so much time at work—let’s have it be a place where we’re giving our best and getting recognized for it, and where we’re accomplishing things to feel good about every day.

Testimonials

“Following the workshops our team related and understood one another better.”

“I appreciate that Beth’s style of coaching focuses on one’s strengths rather than weaknesses.”

“She's not just a coach, she's like a professional friend.”

“Beth led an informative and engaging workshop for a cohort of emerging leaders in philanthropy across UNC. Her program revealed the unique talents and strengths of each of our teammates, and helped us think about how we could leverage those to our best advantage. Our time together was incredibly impactful and practical. In fact, four of the participants have been promoted to leadership roles within our organization. I’d say that’s a terrific return on our investment in leadership development!”

“I have had the good fortune to contract with Beth on multiple occasions to facilitate a Strengths-based workshop for the staff at UNC’s Institute for the Arts and Humanities. The workshops illuminated the individual and collective strengths of our team. Beth’s affable, yet precise facilitation style made for a safe and open environment to reflect on each person’s strengths and created opportunities for lightness about individual stylistic differences. Following the workshops our team related and understood one another better. The tools provided our team with short-hand terminology of each other’s strengths and enhanced communication and collaboration. Beth made the process and information both easy and accessible and I would highly recommend her services to other teams.”

“I worked with Beth while I was in-between jobs which really helped me ensure I was seeking jobs that would allow me to use my strengths and interests, which in turn would lead me to be successful at work. Since starting my current job, I have leaned into any opportunity to showcase and sharpen my natural talents discussed in our sessions. I appreciate that Beth’s style of coaching focuses on one’s strengths rather than weaknesses, which I think is a unique and empowering approach. Would definitely recommend her services to anyone (or group) looking to learn about themself and how to discover and maximize their talents.”
